EFPC continues their role in the HERA Civil Society Forum

Published on October 2, 2025

We are proud to announce that the European Forum for Primary Care (EFPC) has been successful in our application to second mandate of the HERA Civil Society Forum (CSF).

Our representatives Elena Petelos, Zaza Tsereteli, and Dimitra Lingri will ensure the voice of primary care is heard in shaping Europe’s preparedness and response to health emergencies.

🔹 About HERA

The Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA), established by the European Commission in 2021, strengthens Europe’s ability to prevent, detect, and rapidly respond to cross-border health threats by ensuring access to essential medical countermeasures.

🔹 About the Civil Society Forum

The CSF is a vital platform that brings together patients, consumers, and healthcare professionals. Its mission is to provide structured input from civil society to complement industry perspectives—helping HERA to act inclusively, effectively, and with a stronger societal impact.

Through our participation, EFPC will contribute to:

✔️ Bringing forward the primary care perspective in European health preparedness

✔️ Strengthening collaboration between civil society and EU health authorities

✔️ Supporting equitable access to medical countermeasures

We look forward to the work ahead and to collaborating with fellow members in building a safer, healthier Europe.
